Extrusion line for Building Wire

Introduction

Building wire extrusion lines produce the single-core insulated wires used for internal electrical installation in homes, offices and industrial buildings — typically 1.0mm² to 6.0mm² conductors insulated with PVC, FR (flame-retardant) or FRLS (flame-retardant low-smoke) compounds to IS 694. The commercial priority here is high line speed and consistent quality at volume.

Sai Extrumech configures these lines for very high throughput — running well above 1000 metres per minute on fine conductors — with a 45–70mm extruder optimised for PVC, a high-speed crosshead, an extended cooling trough sized for the line speed, online spark testing, inkjet marking, and automatic dual take-up for continuous production without stopping. Screw design is tuned to PVC's heat sensitivity to avoid degradation at speed.
