Dual-Layer Extrusion Line Manufacturers in India
Sai Extrumech is a leading dual-layer extrusion line manufacturer in India, building two-extruder lines that apply two polymer layers onto a conductor in a single pass. Dual-layer (co-extrusion) lines put down an inner and outer layer together – such as insulation plus sheath, or a semiconducting screen plus insulation – dramatically improving efficiency and layer bonding. With 25+ years of engineering and in-house dual-layer crossheads, we build complete dual-layer lines for demanding cable production.

What Is a Dual-Layer Extrusion Line?
A dual-layer line uses two extruders feeding a single dual-layer crosshead. Each extruder melts a different compound, and the crosshead lays both layers around the conductor simultaneously as it passes through. This co-extrusion applies two layers in one pass instead of two, with excellent bonding between them.
Our Dual-Layer Lines
- Two extruders + one dual-layer crosshead for two layers in a single pass
- Layer combinations: insulation + sheath, conductor screen + insulation, skin-foam
- Materials: PVC, PE, XLPE, LSZH and semiconducting compounds
- Higher efficiency and better layer bonding than two separate passes
- In-house dual-layer crossheads matched to your layer thicknesses

Why Choose Sai Extrumech
- 25+ years building co-extrusion cable lines in Faridabad, India
- In-house dual-layer crossheads and tooling — no third-party sub-assemblies
- Two layers in one pass for higher throughput
- Complete turnkey line or individual machines
- Exports to UAE, UK, South Africa, Bangladesh, Nepal & Sri Lanka
Applications
Dual-layer lines produce two-layer power cables, screened cables, LSZH and skin-foam constructions. For three layers, see our triple-layer Sioplas line. Related: crossheads, single-layer lines and the full product range, built by trusted complete extrusion machine manufacturers.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a dual-layer extrusion line?
A dual-layer extrusion line uses two extruders feeding a dual-layer crosshead to apply two polymer layers onto the conductor in a single pass – for example an inner insulation and an outer sheath, or a semiconducting screen plus insulation.
Why use dual-layer instead of two passes?
Applying two layers in one pass saves a whole production run, improves bonding between the layers, reduces handling and increases line efficiency compared with running the cable through the line twice.
What cables need a dual-layer line?
Dual-layer lines suit cables with two co-extruded layers – insulation plus sheath, conductor screen plus insulation, skin-foam constructions and many LSZH and XLPE cables.
Do you supply the dual-layer crosshead too?
Yes. We manufacture the dual-layer crossheads and tooling in-house, matched to your conductor size, layer thicknesses and compounds.
