Single-Layer Extrusion Line Manufacturers in India
Sai Extrumech is a leading single-layer extrusion line manufacturer in India, building single-extruder lines that apply one layer of insulation or sheathing onto a conductor in a single pass. Single-layer lines are the workhorse of wire and cable production – simple, reliable and cost-effective for building wire, house wire and single-insulated cables. With 25+ years of engineering, we build complete single-layer lines and individual machines.

What Is a Single-Layer Extrusion Line?
A single-layer line uses one extruder feeding one crosshead to coat the conductor with a single layer of polymer. The conductor runs from the pay-off, through the extruder crosshead where insulation is applied, into a cooling trough, then through the haul-off to the take-up. It is the most common and straightforward cable line configuration.
Our Single-Layer Lines
- One extruder + one crosshead for a single insulation or sheath layer
- Materials: PVC, PE, XLPE, LSZH and rubber compounds
- Complete line: pay-off, extruder, crosshead, cooling, haul-off, take-up
- Precise concentricity with fixed or manual centre crossheads
- Sized to your conductor range and line speed

Why Choose Sai Extrumech
- 25+ years building single-layer cable lines in Faridabad, India
- In-house extruders, screws, barrels and crossheads
- Complete turnkey line or individual machines
- Upgradeable to dual-layer as your range grows
- Exports to UAE, UK, South Africa, Bangladesh, Nepal & Sri Lanka
Applications
Single-layer lines produce house wire, building wire, single-insulated and general-purpose cables. They share tooling with our crossheads and screws & barrels. For two layers in one pass, see our dual-layer extrusion line. Full range: our products from one of India’s leading extrusion machine manufacturers.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a single-layer extrusion line?
A single-layer extrusion line uses one extruder and crosshead to apply a single layer of insulation or sheathing onto a conductor in one pass. It is the simplest, most common configuration for building wire and single-insulated cables.
When should I choose a single-layer extruder?
Choose single-layer when the cable needs only one insulation or sheath layer – for example house wire, single-insulated building wire and many general-purpose cables. It is simpler, lower cost and easy to operate.
Can a single-layer line be upgraded later?
Yes. A single-layer line can often be extended with a second extruder and a dual-layer crosshead to become a dual-layer line as your product range grows.
What conductor sizes does it handle?
We build single-layer lines for a wide conductor range and match the screw, crosshead and cooling to your cable specification.
